Jeremy began his career as an engineer in the Piston arena and subsequently moved from the UK to USA after earning his MBA. He held the position of President of Ricardo Inc. for 10 years and was a board director of Ricardo PLC. Subsequently he held the position of CEO of NxtGen Emission controls, a Canada based start up company, and later served as Global Vice President and Head of US business for TREMEC SA de CV, a Mexico based Automotive and Commercial Vehicle transmission manufacturer. Joining Means in 2018, Jeremy’s role is to lead the company in growth and transformation as the automotive industry moves to high efficiency solutions and electrified propulsion.

Ted Ens

Chief Operating Officer

Ted's career has revolved entirely around the automotive sector. Senior Leadership capacity on everything from body and chassis, to body in white, through complete vehicle assembly and currently in the Powertrain and Propulsion space. Experiences include numerous new facility, product, and company launches as well as company turnaround situations. Ted is recognized for his strong Leadership and reputation for promoting best-in-class lean manufacturing culture, Kaizen, team building, accountability, responsibility, and authority throughout the workforce.

Chad Workman

VP Global Business Development

Chad is currently the Vice President of Global Business Development, responsible for Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Business Development Globally. Chad joined Means in 2000 as a Product Engineer, holding positions in various functions of increasing responsibility levels until being appointed as Vice President in 2016. Chad plays a key role in leading the Global Business Development function aligning Amsted Automotive to the current and emerging needs of the global marketplace transitioning from current internal combustion engine to electrified platforms. Chad attended Kettering University (formerly GMI) where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science in Operations Management and his MBA.

Thomas Meier

Tom Meier

VP Process Technologies

A tool and die maker by trade, Tom is instrumental in bringing roller die technology to Means Transform Products. Holding multiple patents in hoop banding design and all-wheel drive clutch design, Tom developed the flow forming of aluminum for latest 10-speed transmission applications. Tom is responsible for the development of forming technology for future investments in new technologies, and coordinates all new investment projects, from time of order to operation. He holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Paderborn in Germany and served as Group Project Engineer and Engineering Manager at MascoTech Forming Technologies before joining Means.

Ed Shemanski

Ed Shemanski

VP Finance

Ed has overseen financial reporting, audit, business planning and treasury activities at Means since 2009. Prior to Means, Ed worked for Household Credit Services in their asset securitization department and Wright-K Technology as an automotive machine builder and cost accountant. Joining Means in 1999, Ed has progressed through several different financial roles over that time in addition to participation on parent company Amsted Industries internal audit staff.  He earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance in 2004.

VP Product Technology

Jeff has been with Means for over 24 years and previously served in engineering leadership positions including Senior Product Application Engineer, Product Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering for the Asian Market. Over the course of Jeff’s career, he has played a key role in helping to guide over a dozen successful transmission propulsion system program launches. During that time, over 30 million of these propulsion systems have been shipped worldwide to the growing portfolio of Means customers.

VP Human Resources

Norm is responsible for all aspects of HR functions at Means. With advanced degrees in HR from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and an MBA from the Devoe School of Business at Indiana Wesleyan University, Norm’s experience covers strategic planning, employee and labor relations, people development, implementation of compensation, benefits, performance management, employee and organizational development, recruiting, change management, and improvement initiatives.

Vice President of Global Commercial Management

Thomas is a leader in strategic direction and product management, and currently oversees our global commercial activities. His expertise in commercial management for powder metal and piston pin has helped advance our business units internationally—from the North American market to expansions in China and Europe. After graduating from Illinois State University with a degree in Industrial Technology, Thomas joined our team in 1993.

Jerry Randich

Jerry Randich

Vice President of Global Supply Chain

Jerry has been with the Amsted Industries group of companies for over 30 years. During that time he has held roles in Finance, Operations, Purchasing and International Business Ventures. He was instrumental in the formation and growth of three joint ventures in China for Diamond Chain and Burgess Norton. Prior to becoming Vice President of Global Supply Chain at Amsted Automotive Group, Jerry was VP of Finance and Purchasing at Burgess Norton. He earned his BS in Accounting from Indiana University.
