Means Presents at 2016 CTI Symposium in Novi, Michigan

NOVI, Michigan—Wednesday May 12, 2016 —Means Industries Inc. was one of the presenters at the 2016 CTI Automotive Transmission Symposium on May 11-12. 

Jeff Prout and Rob Fetting, Directors of Engineering for Asia products and North America products, respectively, gave their presentation entitled “World’s 1st Production Selectable One-Way Clutch for AT” on May 11th.

Means was one of 20 finalists nominated for a 2016 PACE Award for their first-to-market Controllable Mechanical Diode (CMD) Selectable One-Way Clutch. This is the first time Means has been recognized as a finalist for this prestigious award.

“Speaking at the CTI Symposium was an excellent opportunity to showcase our upcoming mass production SOWC to the transmission community,” said Jeff. “The forum created an interactive environment that was taken advantage of by many interested in our technology.”

The CTI Symposium in North America is a unique event where global leaders in automotive transmission design and manufacturing convene to get updated on the latest technical developments and applications for conventional and alternative drives.

Attendees have the opportunity to discuss technologies and strategies with other automotive experts from USA, Asia and Europe. Over 40 exhibitors and representatives from numerous OEM’s were on hand to make this a truly world-class conference.
