Means Presents at 2016 CTI Symposium in Berlin, Germany

BERLIN, Germany—Wednesday December 7, 2016 —Means Industries Inc. was one of the presenters at the 2016 CTI Automotive Transmission Symposium in December. 

Carl Beiser, Technical Business Manager for Clutch Systems, gave his presentation entitled “World’s 1st Production Selectable One-Way Clutch for AT” on December 7th.

Means was one of 20 finalists nominated for a 2016 PACE Award for their first-to-market Controllable Mechanical Diode (CMD) Selectable One-Way Clutch. This is the first time Means has been recognized as a finalist for this prestigious award.

“The CTI Berlin Symposium is the perfect venue to educate customers about the benefits CMDs provide, such as improved fuel economy and reduced packaging space,” said Carl. “We received a lot of interest from world-class powertrain designers about new CMD applications, and look forward to further exploring these opportunities.”

The CTI Symposium in North America is a unique event where global leaders in automotive transmission design and manufacturing convene to get updated on the latest technical developments and applications for conventional and alternative drives.
