Sterling Heights, Michigan, May 24, 2017 –TransForm Automotive LLC, a business unit of Means, has officially launched production of several highly sophisticated components and assemblies for 9 and 10 speed automatic transmissions at the newest manufacturing facility in Shelby Township, Michigan.
Headquartered in Sterling Heights, TransForm opened the new, 150,000 square foot location in Shelby Township in 2016. An open house was held in September 2016 for customers, suppliers and local dignitaries to celebrate the launch and tour the facility.
“The flow formed aluminum housing for the 10R/10L transmissions is a great example of TransForm’s advanced metal-forming capabilities,” said Bill Shaw, President of Means.
A further expansion of the massive new facility is slated to begin prior to 2020.
