NOVI, Michigan, May 7, 2019—Means Industries, a global leader in propulsion systems and advanced metal-forming solutions, will return to the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi for the 2019 CTI Symposium taking place May 15-16. Attendees are invited to visit the newly designed Means booth, which will be located at the heart of the main exhibition floor.
On day 2 of the event, Technical Business Manager Carl Beiser will be giving his presentation on “Efficient & Compact Electric Propulsion Systems Enabled by Integrated Electric Controllable Clutches”. This presentation will feature an in-depth look at the Dynamic Controllable Clutch (DCC), and the CMD-e, which are Electro-Dynamic and Electrically Actuated Controllable Clutch Technologies currently under development.
Carl’s presentation will take place at 3:45pm on May 16th.
“We introduced the DCC and CMD-e technologies at CTI Berlin in December 2018, and these electric controllable clutches generated a lot of interest,” said Carl. “I look forward to discussing the technologies at CTI USA and expanding on the benefits of these building blocks of electrified propulsion systems.”
Also the May issue of the CTI Magazine will feature a full-length article on these innovative Means technologies supplemental to Carl’s presentation. Copies of the magazine will be available throughout the conference center.
The Car Training Institute (CTI) was founded in 2003, with the aim of developing event concepts covering the various areas of automobile technology, such as powertrain, chassis, and electric/electronics. The CTI Symposium is a leading transmission technology event globally, which provides strategic information and technical updates featuring speakers acknowledged as industry and market experts.
